This weekend in California

I had the privilege of speaking at the University of California Riverside’s Bourns College of Engineering‘s 25th anniversary celebration on Saturday. UC Riverside was my home from 2002-2007, when I served as their chancellor. You can imagine my excitement to be back for this celebration. Congratulations Bourns College of Engineering on these 25 years of excellence. Keep up the good work!

The very next day, I joined Pomona College graduates for their commencement ceremony, where I proudly received an honorary degree and talked to students about celebrating curiosity and its outcomes. Sometimes changing the world starts with a question: Wondering why things got to be the way they are, or how they can be improved.

Cheers to wonder, curiosity, discovery and commitment. Congratulations graduates!
